About Kristin Weis

Kristin grew up in Lafayette, Indiana and was raised by parents who encouraged her to follow her dreams. Shortly after graduating from Purdue University, Kristin moved to the windy city of Chicago, Illinois. Kristin started working with one of the most well respected wedding consulting companies in Chicago, Engaging Events by Ali, Inc. After nearly two years with the company, Kristin and her husband moved back to his native town, St. Louis, Missouri. Kristin enjoyed every aspect of the wedding and event business. She decided to make her dream of owning her own event business come true and opened Kristin Ashley Events, LLC. in 2010.

In order to utilize her education, inter-personal skills and hands on experience, Kristin enjoys transforming her clients dream into the most unforgettable wedding day experience imaginable. She takes pride in her Midwest attitude and Big City inspiration to help maintain her fresh and fun style. With her optimistic and extroverted personality, friends, family, and clients alike consider her loyal and trustworthy. From an endless budget showcasing the most ideal sophisticated wedding, to later be transformed into a club after party reception with candy buffets, over the top lighting and dancing until the wee hours. Or whether it is a quaint few thousand dollar intimate gathering of 80 guests met with tiny details, Kristin is always up for a challenge, keeping an open mind and arms whatever the case maybe.

Kristin is an active member of the Association of Bridal Consultants, International Special Events Society and a board member for Wish Upon A Wedding. She enjoys attending networking gatherings and national conferences in order to network with wedding planning peers, as well as to be inspired and enlightened by the experts in the industry.

Kristin believes strongly about philanthropic work. Kristin and her family support the Purdue Cancer Research Center in West Lafayette, Indiana. In 2009 Engaging Events by Ali co-sponsored the first annual Midwest Wedding and Event Professionals golf outing benefiting breast cancer research in Chicago, IL. Kristin played an integral part in the planning and implementing of the successful golf outing. She served her community by partaking in various programs such as; Adopt a family, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Colleges Against Cancer and local community runs that benefit various organizations.

In her free time, you can find Kristin traveling, learning to cook, cheering on her favorite sports teams, exercising or spending time with her family. At the end of her day she loves to come home to her husband Ryan and two Boston Terriers, Odie and Lucy.
